PRINCE ALBERT – Prince Albert RCMP are investigating a fatal collision.
On July 15 at around 8 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 2, approximately eight kilometres south of Prince Albert.
The investigation determined two trucks collided. A passenger in one of the trucks was declared dead by EMS at the scene. She has been identified as a 75-year-old woman from Woodstock, Ont. Her family has been notified.
The driver in that same truck, along with two additional passengers, were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
The other truck had two occupants at the time of the collision. Both occupants were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
Highway 2 was closed for a period of time but has since been reopened. Officers thank everyone who assisted at the scene.
