WHITEWOOD — The Saskatchewan RCMP has announced charges against a 39-year-old Whitewood man.
According to a news release from the RCMP, on July 20, the Broadview/Moosomin RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in Whitewood. Following an investigation, officers arrested the man. He is charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of forcible confinement under the Criminal Code.
The RCMP says it is not releasing the name of the accused to protect the identity and well-being of the victim. The press release added the police will not provide additional information that might lead to the identification of the victim.
