GREEN LAKE – Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) has charged a 47-year-old woman with second-degree murder following a homicide in Green Lake.
On July 21 at approximately 10:35 p.m., Meadow Lake/Green Lake RCMP received a report of an injured male in Green Lake.
Officers located the male outside a business on McIntosh Avenue. EMS attended and declared him dead. He has been identified as 46-year-old Michael Lafond from Green Lake. His family has been notified and victim services have been made available to them.
Officers arrested a female on 3rd Avenue in Green Lake in relation to this investigation.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s HIU took charge of the investigation.
As a result of their investigation, 47-year-old Angela Kusnezoff, from Green Lake, is charged with one count, second-degree murder.
Kusnezoff is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on July 23.
