REGINA — The Saskatchewan Craft Council (SCC) present Dimensions 2025, a major exhibition of exceptional fine craft from throughout the province, on view to the public until Oct. 20.
Featuring 30 works from 28 makers and artists, the SCC says the exhibition presents some of the finest juried ceramics, fibre art, woodworking, fused glass, beadwork, photography and other craft at the Cumberland Gallery in the Saskatchewan Legislative Building (2405-Legislative Dr.).
SCC Executive Director Jeff Erbach says he believes this is a unique opportunity to see a collection of works from some of Saskatchewan’s strongest talent.
“From well over 200 open submissions, adjudicators, who are known experts in the field, curated this special exhibition which, we feel, exemplifies the incredible breadth and diversity of practice and talent in this province. The next call isn’t until 2029, and so these works represent some of the finest pieces we’ll see over the next few years.”
The SCC now holds the Dimensions juried competition on a multi-year cycle, with the next call for submissions scheduled for 2029.
The Dimensions program is an ongoing tradition which spans more than five decades. It is an open, juried exhibition which encourages and rewards excellence in handcrafted work. After careful deliberation on all of the submissions, expert adjudicators Brendan Lee Satish Tang (British Columbia) and Wally Dion (New York) selected these pieces for the final exhibition and also chose which of the selected works would receive the accompanying 14 Dimensions Awards, which were given in 2025.
