REGINA — Former colleagues David Wilde, Scott Beane, Trent Fehr, and Dale Fuhr are celebrating a $100,000 LOTTO MAX win from the May 26 draw! The group, made up of three Regina residents and one member (Fuhr) now living in Osoyoos, B.C., has been playing together for more than a decade.
“We have been playing for more than a decade,” said Wilde. “We started our group when we all worked together. While we don’t all work together anymore, we've stayed connected and still play together!”
LOTTO MAX has been one way the group stays in touch with one another over the years.
“I really am thrilled,” said Wilde. “And when I realized the winning ticket was our group ticket, I was shocked.”
“I am happy to share it with friends and people I have known for a very long time,” he continued.
The four friends are already dreaming about how they'll enjoy the windfall.
Beane intends to pay bills and then said, “Maybe I'll finally buy a 77-inch TV!”
Fehr has plans for both family and home improvements. “I'm going to spoil my kids with some fun toys, pay some bills, and remodel the kitchen!”
Wilde is looking forward to sharing the experience with his family as well.
“I'm excited to share with my three daughters,” he said. “I'm also considering taking a river cruise.”
The group said the experience still feels surreal.
“It feels wonderful,” said Wilde.
“I can't stop smiling,” added Fehr.
The group purchased their winning LOTTO MAX ticket from Co-op at 2020 Prince of Wales Dr. in Regina. They won their $100,000 prize by matching one of the LOTTO MAX $100,000 prize category selections in the May 26 draw: 3, 28, 29, 40, 44, 45, and 48.
