Regina — A man was arrested following an incident Saturday evening where a man was attached with a machete during an attempted bicycle theft in North Central Regina.
At approximately 4:40 p.m. on July 25, Regina police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Angus Street following a report of a weapons offence. When officers arrived, they located an injured male who reported that the suspect attempted to steal his bicycle before assaulting him. EMS transported the victim to hospital for, what appeared to be, significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers located the suspect at a nearby home and arrested him without incident. Following the arrest, officers executed a search of the residence and seized a machete believed to be connected to the incident.
Dylan Sheepskin, 37, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.
He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on July 27.
