REGINA — A 34-year-old man was arrested after a knife attack in the city’s North Central neighbourhood on Thursday afternoon.
Police were called to the 900 block of Royal Street at about 12:40 p.m. on July 30 for a report of a weapons offence.
When officers arrived, they located a male suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. The investigation determined that an altercation had occurred outside of a home and one person sustained injuries consistent with the use of a knife.
EMS attended the scene and transported the victim to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers recovered the knife during the investigation.
The suspect was charged with aggravated assault. He will make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Aug. 4.
