Update:
DELISLE — Four people were injured in a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Highway 7 on July 31.
According to a news release from the Saskatchewan RCMP, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Warman RCMP received a report of a "serious" collision on Highway 7 southwest of Delisle.
The RCMP said officers responded along with the Vanscoy RM Police Service, the Corman Park Police Service, local fire departments, EMS and the STARS Air Ambulance. An investigation determined a motorcycle collided with a vehicle parked at the side of the highway.
The driver of the parked vehicle was outside of it at the time of the collision and was taken to hospital with injuries the RCMP described as serious in nature. The passenger of the parked vehicle was taken to the hospital with injuries described by the RCMP as being non-life-threatening in nature.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with injuries the RCMP said were serious in nature, while the passenger of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
The Warman RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist. The affected stretch of Highway 7 was closed for several hours July 31 and Aug. 1 due to the collision.
