- break and enter;
- possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; and
- possession of a break-in instrument.
RM of KEY WEST – Assiniboia RCMP have charged a woman after copper wire was recovered during a traffic stop.
On July 29, Coronach RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the RM of Key West.
Assiniboia RCMP later located it in the RM of Lake of the Rivers. They performed a traffic stop and determined the driver did not have a licence or valid vehicle registration.
As a result of further investigation, a large quantity of copper wire, a wire stripping device along with other break-in instruments were located in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested.
A 45-year-old woman, from Assiniboia, is charged with:
She also received tickets for driving without a licence and for driving an unregistered vehicle. The vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court in Assiniboia on Sept. 10.
