WARMAN – A third Saskatchewan Party candidate is now in place for the next provincial election.
Minister of Social Services and incumbent MLA for Warman Terry Jenson has been acclaimed as the Warman candidate at the party's nomination meeting in the riding August 12.
His easy renomination was a far cry from the previous election when Jenson had to win a contested nomination to be able to return to the Legislature. Jenson will be seeking his third term in the Legislature representing the area; he was first elected in 2020 when the riding was Martensville-Warman.
Among those at the nomination were guest speaker Ken Cheveldayoff, Minister of Advanced Education, as well as Lumsden-Morse MLA Blaine McLeod.
The Saskatchewan Party is off to an early start in nominating candidates for the expected 2028 provincial election. Already they have nominated Premier Scott Moe to run again in Rosthern-Shellbrook and Cheveldayoff to run again in Saskatoon Willowgrovel
