ST. PAUL, Alta., — A high-ranking Saskatchewan gang member with a history of arrests on drug and weapons charges, many of which were later withdrawn or stayed, has been sentenced to a global term of 730 days in jail on firearm-related offences.
Courtlin Littlewolfe, 40, of Onion Lake Cree Nation, who also goes by the last name of Whitstone, pleaded guilty in Alberta Court of Justice in St. Paul on Aug. 13 to four counts of possession of a prohibited firearm. With 359 days of enhanced credit for time already spent in custody, Littlewolfe has 371 days remaining to serve. The remaining 22 charges were withdrawn.
Littlewolfe was arrested on Dec. 10, 2025, after Alberta RCMP assisted Onion Lake RCMP in tracking suspects tied to a Saskatchewan drug trafficking and weapons investigation.
At about 2:20 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2025, Elk Point RCMP attempted to stop a vehicle in the Frog Lake area that was believed to be connected to the drug trafficking investigation. The driver, later identified as Littlewolfe, refused to stop and fled from police. Additional units responded and a tire deflation device was successfully deployed, disabling the vehicle. After the vehicle came to a stop, Littlewolfe was arrested without incident.
When police searched the vehicle, they found brass knuckles, ammunition, suspected methamphetamine, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Community members approached officers to report that two firearms had been thrown from the vehicle in the area where the tire deflation device was deployed. Police say the occupants admitted that the firearms had been thrown from their vehicle. The shotgun and rifle had serial numbers that were tampered with and illegal modifications.

After the arrest, Cst. Nicholas Couture of the Elk Point RCMP Detachment praised the public for making police aware of the firearms that had been thrown from the vehicle.
Numerous drug trafficking and weapons-related offences against Littlewolfe have been stayed or withdrawn in Saskatchewan and Alberta courts.
In May 2025, all weapons and drug charges against Littlewolfe were stayed. In that incident, he was arrested after a high-speed chase near Loon Lake in November 2024. Police seized crystal methamphetamine, ammunition, brass knuckles, and other weapons. Littlewolfe faced multiple offences, including flight from police, possession of a firearm while prohibited, robbery with a firearm, and trafficking methamphetamine.

In December 2022, all weapons-related charges were stayed against Littlewolfe in Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court. He faced charges of possession of a loaded prohibited firearm and possession of a loaded non-restricted firearm without a license, storing a prohibited firearm and non-restricted firearm in a careless manner, possession of readily accessible ammunition, and possession of a firearm and ammunition while prohibited.
In March 2022, all drug trafficking and weapons charges were withdrawn against Littlewolfe in Lloydminster Alberta Provincial Court. He was charged following a police pursuit in Lloydminster in January 2021. When police searched his vehicle following the police chase through the city, they found more than $47,000 in drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin. In addition, police found more than $8,000 in Canadian currency, a handgun, ammunition, a knife, and red paisley bandanas generally worn by Westside Outlawz.

Later in March 2022, Littlewolfe was sentenced in Lloydminster Provincial Court to 10 months after he pleaded guilty to two counts of obstruction of a peace officer, three counts of failing to appear in court, and driving while prohibited.
In October 2023, Littlewolfe was sentenced in Lloydminster Provincial Court to 50 months but with remand credit his jail time was reduced to 52 days remaining to serve. During his sentencing hearing, the Crown prosecutor told the court that Littlewolfe was a high-ranking Westside Outlawz street gang member. The street gang originated in Onion Lake and has expanded across Saskatchewan and Alberta.
