REGINA — An update on a planned temporary outdoor event space in Regina is expected this Saturday.
The Regina Downtown Business Improvement District (RDBID) teased the development on social media, sharing a glimpse of the site being prepared on the former Credit Foncier Building property.
The building was demolished after being damaged in the Gordon Block fire, following approval from city council. As part of that decision, RDBID was granted short-term access to the property for its Skuare project.
Announced in 2024, Skuare is planned as a spring-to-fall event space featuring activities, vendors and performances on the former Gordon Block site. The space was originally expected to launch in 2025, but RDBID delayed the project while waiting to secure external funding.
SaskToday contacted RDBID several times for an update on the project but did not receive any specific details.
