REGINA BEACH — An eight-year-old boy has died following a water-related emergency at Regina Beach.
Lumsden RCMP received a report of the emergency at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Aug. 21.
Officers attended the scene along with local emergency medical services. The child was located in the water and declared dead by EMS at the scene.
Police identified the child as an eight-year-old boy and said his family has been notified.
In an news release issued on Aug. 24, RCMP said the Saskatchewan Coroners Service had taken over the investigation.
The death is being investigated as a sudden death.
RCMP said there is no element of criminality and no further details will be released.
