PRINCE ALBERT — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the city’s west flat area and are asking the public for help identifying two suspects.
Prince Albert Police Service say that at about approximately 4:20 p.m., they were dispatched to the 900 block of 13th Street West following a report that a male had been shot. When officers arrived, they found a male victim with serious injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
Officers immediately provided first-aid until Parkland Ambulance arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital for further medical treatment. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Through their investigation, police learned that the victim had been shot with what is believed to be a shotgun.
Investigators have identified two males who were in the area before the shooting. One male was wearing dark clothing and was riding a black 2019 Super Soco CPx electric scooter. The second male was also dressed in dark clothing.
Police are asking the public assistance in identifying the suspects.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, heard a loud bang in the area, or has video surveillance or other information that may assist investigators is asked to contact the Prince Albert Police Service at 306-953-4222.
