CARLYLE – A Regina man arrested in connection with a forcible confinement case on the White Bear First Nation has appeared in court again.
Braiden Hotomani, 28, was in Carlyle Provincial Court on Aug. 26, where he was remanded in custody to Sept. 23, for a bail hearing.
On May 24, Carlyle RCMP were called to White Bear, on a report of a man who had been forcibly confined, threatened with a firearm, and repeatedly assaulted.
The victim was able to escape, and was treated for injuries described as non-life threatening.
After the suspect was arrested, police say they seized an axe and a handgun.
