REGINA, Sask. — On Friday Aug 28, the Regina radio station, 104.9 The Wolf, celebrated its 30th anniversary. The event, which took place at popular venue The Exchange, hosted on-air talent, former staff, and loyal listeners of the channel.

In typical rock n' roll fashion, the event had live music, prize giveaways, and other festivities for attendees to participate in.
Morning show co-host, Chad McDonald, reflected on the impact that The Wolf has had on the city over the last three decades.
"It was kind of meme culture before meme culture [existed] in Regina…It's funny when I walk around [Regina], some of the great stories get told to me about a lot of people growing up on The Wolf," says McDonald
McDonald also recalled some of the most significant live shows in Regina that The Wolf was involved with such as "AC/DC, The [Rolling] Stones, and Guns & Roses".
Chad's partner in crime, Evan Baran, morning show co-host, shared some of his most memorable moments during the show's 30-year run.
"I had a guy tattoo my signature on his arm for tickets one time. That was something," says Baran.
Baran and McDonald also express how fortunate they have been to have met "so many great people and attended many great concerts".
While the event was hosted and organized by current staff members at The Wolf, many alumni attended the event as well.
"There was never a dull moment at The Wolf," says former receptionist and Director of First Impressions Diane Heinitz.
Heinitz recalled how The Wolf "kept The City of Regina on their toes". She mentioned how announcers would often challenge certain notions implemented by City Hall, such as "parking tickets and things like that".
After 30 years of success on the air, The Wolf has no intentions of calling it quits anytime soon.
