REGINA, Sask. — Update: The Regina Police Service reports that the underpasses at Albert Street at Saskatchewan Drive, and Broad Street and Saskatchewan Drive and Broad Street at Dewdney Avenue are open to northbound and southbound traffic. The public is free to resume their activities as per normal.

Regina Police Service says Albert Street and Broad Street have been closed to northbound and southbound traffic at these locations due to flooding at the underpass. They ask that drivers plan an alternate route.
Updates will be provided as they become available, says the RPS.
Environment Canada says thunderstorms are currently ongoing over the region and Regina is forecast to receive 15 to 25 mm of rain. The storms are forecast to continue to increase in coverage over the area and eventually develop into a line and move eastward toward the Manitoba border later in the afternoon.
Thunderstorms will also gradually intensify early in the afternoon, according to Environment Canada. The primary hazards with these thunderstorms will be strong wind gusts of 90-100 km/h, large hail, and heavy rainfall. Brief tornadoes are also possible with intense thunderstorms. The severe weather threat will diminish once the cold front pushes eastward into Manitoba later this evening.
