LLOYDMINSTER, Sask. — A 31-year-old man accused of abducting a woman from the Loon Lake area will remain in custody until his trial.
Kevin Ross Watt has been denied bail and a warrant of committal was issued on Sept. 1.
According to RCMP, the woman was taken from a home near Makwa Lake at approximately 12:45 a.m. on July 13. She was later located unharmed.
Police released Watt’s photo to the public, and he was arrested the following day in Lloydminster, Sask., by local RCMP.
Watt's next court appearance is set for Dec. 15, when he is expected to enter a plea on the charges of failing to comply with a court order. A trial has also been scheduled for Dec. 25 on charges of assault with a weapon and break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
