SASKATOON, Sask. — The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) says a woman was arrested and faces charges regarding a Sept. 7 assault.
At around 2:50 a.m., the SPS says police were called to the 600-block of Avenue X South for a reported assault in progress. Call information outlined that a man was attacked by a woman with a knife.
Upon police arrival, officers located the 24-year-old victim. Officers learned he was in a stairwell when an unknown woman approached him and threatened to stab him before running away. The SPS said it's not believed any physical injuries occurred as a result of this incident.
Other responding officers located a woman matching the suspect's description a short distance away, and the SPS said she was arrested without further incident.
As a result, the 29-year-old woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and breaching court-imposed conditions.
