PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Saskatchewan Marshals Service (SMS) has arrested 21-year-old Katrina Ballantyne at a home in Prince Albert on multiple outstanding warrants.
Ballantyne appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Sept. 8 and was remanded in custody. She is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 11.
The SMS arrested Ballantyne at approximately 11:50 a.m. on Sept. 8. She was wanted for aggravated assault, forcible confinement, taking a vehicle without consent, breaching a release order, failing to appear in court, and break and enter to commit theft.
“This apprehension demonstrates the SMS mandate to locate prolific offenders and individuals wanted for serious offences and return them to the court process,” said SMS in a media release on Sept. 9.
The SMS thanked the Prince Albert Police Service for its assistance in this investigation.
