SASKATCHEWAN — A frost advisory has been issued for much of the province.
Issued in the afternoon of Sept. 12, the alert covers the cities of Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw and Prince Albert, the district of Lakeland, the Battlefords and communities in more than 100 RMs.
"A surface ridge of high pressure will move into southern Saskatchewan tonight [Sept. 12], clearing skies and cooling temperatures to freezing or just below freezing," the advisory states.
Frost may be patchy in some areas as patchy fog is expected to form, which may keep temperatures above freezing, Environment Canada said.
"Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible. Take preventative measures to protect cold-sensitive plants, trees, and crops. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas," Environment Canada said.
