REGINA, Sask. — McDonald's franchisees across Regina are banding together to help support the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan and fund prostate and breast cancer research locally.
They will be hosting two fundraising windows in September and October at all McDonald’s restaurants in Regina, where you can purchase McDonald’s menu items and give back to the Foundation:
From Monday, Sept. 14 to Sunday, Sept. 20, the purchase of an order of six-piece Chicken Nuggets or 10-piece Chicken Nuggets, either on their own or part of a meal, will direct proceeds to the foundation.
From Thursday, Oct. 1 to Friday Oct. 9, purchasing any Big Mac or Big Mac Meal, will direct part of the proceeds to the foundation.
"Giving back to the community is a huge priority for me and the other McDonald's franchisees across Regina, and cancer affects the lives of so many of us," said Regina McDonald's franchisee, Faith Nguyen.
"Cancer has touched my own family, and I wanted to help others facing the same struggles. I reached out to the Foundation and then to my fellow franchisees – Alex Hermann, Hiren Shah and Samad Bakhtbolland – and they were thrilled to get onboard. Together we’re making a real difference.”
