REGINA, Sask. — A 50-year-old man has been charged with failing to stop after an accident following a hit-and-run involving a marked police vehicle on Monday.
At approximately 2 p.m., on Sept. 14, a marked police vehicle was travelling westbound on 4th Avenue when it was struck by another vehicle near the intersection of 4th Avenue and Rae Street.
The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene and left the area following the collision.
Through their investigation, officers located the suspect vehicle a short time later, unoccupied, in the 600 block of Cameron Street.
Further investigation led officers to identify and locate the suspect operating the vehicle at the time of the collision. He was arrested without incident. There were no serious injuries in the collision, say police.
He will make his first appearance in Regina Provincial court on Oct. 27.
