MELVILLE, Sask. — The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Melville resident with a child exploitation offence.
On Aug. 6, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit executed a Search Warrant at a home in Melville. Electronic devices were examined at scene and seized by investigators.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old man was charged with possession of child abuse and exploitation material.
He appeared in court on Sept. 21 and was released on court-imposed conditions. His next court date is set for Oct. 19 in Melville Provincial Court.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material.
