SASKATOON, Sask. — A 31-year-old man was arrested following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit.
According to police, shortly before 12 p.m. on Sept. 22, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, initiated enforcement action in a firearm investigation with the arrest of a man on the west side, in the 1500 block of 20th Street West. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.
Police seized a loaded sawed-off .410-gauge shotgun (loaded), .410 ammunition, and 1.56 grams of fentanyl.
The suspect has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of breaching court ordered conditions, and several firearms-related offences.
