REGINA, Sask.- The Regina Police Service (RPS), in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, has started a death investigation.
Police were dispatched to a call for service in the 1300-block of Robinson Street at approximately 2 p.m. on Oct. 3. According to the RPS, upon arrival, officers located one person dead in the vicinity. Officers secured the area and requested the additional resources of the RPS Major Crime Unit and the RPS Forensic Identification Unit.
The RPS says it is asking the public to avoid the 1300-block of Robinson Street as a police investigation is underway. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to choose an alternative route.
At this early stage of the investigation, there are no further details that will be released to the public, the RPS said. The victim’s name will not be released at this time.
