The Western All-Star Challenge is returning for a third year, bringing together some of the top young talent from the Saskatchewan and Manitoba Junior Hockey Leagues.
The SJHL and MJHL have announced the event will run November 2nd to 4th, 2026, at the Martensville Recreation Centre in Martensville.
The three-day event will feature two games between the SJHL Under-19 All-Stars and their MJHL counterparts. Players born in 2008 or later will be eligible to participate.
Both leagues say the challenge is designed to showcase their players while helping create more opportunities to advance to post-secondary hockey, including U Sports, the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference and the NCAA.
The leagues are also looking to build on the success of recent seasons, which saw strong numbers of players move on to post-secondary hockey. As partners in the Western Canadian Development Model, the SJHL and MJHL hope the event will help players take the next step in their hockey careers while developing skills that can benefit them beyond the game.
Palliser Insurance will return as the event's primary sponsor, while both games will be streamed live on FloHockey.
