The Weyburn Red Wings have climbed to the top of the latest SJHL Power Rankings, riding a four-game winning streak and a high-powered offence.
Weyburn moves into the No. 1 spot after completing a perfect three-game road trip, including a pair of wins over the La Ronge Ice Wolves last weekend. The Red Wings outscored La Ronge 12-5 over the two games and have scored 27 goals in their last five contests.
The Flin Flon Bombers remain second after sweeping the Estevan Bruins on home ice, while the Warman Wolverines drop from first to third despite picking up an overtime victory over the Nipawin Hawks.
The Melfort Mustangs hold fourth after limiting the Battlefords North Stars and Kindersley Klippers to a combined one goal in a pair of wins. The Humboldt Broncos move up to fifth following a convincing 7-2 victory over Battlefords, with Cody Farrell recording two goals and an assist.
The Melville Millionaires remain sixth in the rankings after splitting their home-and-home series with the Yorkton Terriers.
Yorkton took the opener 3-1 on Friday before Melville responded with a 5-3 victory Saturday night at the CN Community Centre. Jaden Kokosha scored twice, while Grady Carmichael netted the eventual game-winner as the Millionaires extended their home winning streak to three games. Noah Kraus made 36 saves to earn his fifth win of the season.
The Kindersley Klippers sit seventh, followed by the Nipawin Hawks at eighth. The Hawks earned a 7-3 win over Humboldt earlier in the week before falling to Warman in overtime Saturday.
The Yorkton Terriers move into ninth, with the Battlefords North Stars holding 10th. The Estevan Bruins remain 11th after dropping both games of their weekend series against Flin Flon, while the La Ronge Ice Wolves round out the rankings in 12th.
