The Edmonton Elks have moved up, the Saskatchewan Roughriders got back in the win column, and the Calgary Stampeders kept their playoff hopes alive.
This week's SportsCage.com CFL Power Rankings feature plenty of movement, with Edmonton climbing to second and Calgary jumping from sixth to fifth.
The B.C. Lions take the biggest hit among the top contenders, falling from second to third after a 32-13 loss to Calgary. Saskatchewan also moves up to sixth after clinching a playoff berth with a late win over Montreal.
Toronto holds fourth, Winnipeg slips to seventh, and Hamilton and Ottawa remain eighth and ninth, respectively.
For the first time in several weeks, SportsCage.com contributors have no unanimous choices, not even Montreal or Ottawa.
1. Montreal Alouettes (13-4) — LW: 1
Montreal stays on top, but the Alouettes couldn't get past Saskatchewan.
The Als dropped a 16-12 decision to the Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium on Saturday afternoon, surrendering the winning touchdown with just 29 seconds remaining.
Trevor Harris connected with KeeSean Johnson for the go-ahead major, handing Montreal a late defeat after the Alouettes had held a three-point lead.
The loss followed Montreal's dominant 44-24 win over Saskatchewan the previous week, a reminder of how quickly things can change in the CFL.
Montreal remains No. 1, but the Alouettes will want to clean things up heading into the postseason.
2. Edmonton Elks (13-4) — LW: 3
The Elks are moving up.
Edmonton defeated Winnipeg 35-27 on Friday night to clinch the West Division title for the first time since 2015.
Cody Fajardo led the way with two rushing touchdowns and two more through the air, while Justin Rankin piled up 133 rushing yards on 23 carries.
The Edmonton defence also picked off two passes from Zach Collaros, including a crucial late interception by Nick Anderson that helped swing momentum back to the Elks.
Edmonton improved to 13-4 with the victory and completed its first three-game season sweep of Winnipeg since 1979.
The Elks move up to second in the rankings and have secured a home playoff game. With the West Division title in hand, Edmonton has a chance to make a serious postseason run.
3. B.C. Lions (10-7) — LW: 2
The Lions drop one spot after a disappointing loss to Calgary.
B.C. fell 32-13 to the Stampeders, managing just three second-half points as Calgary took control of a must-win game.
Nathan Rourke threw for 149 yards and a touchdown before backup Kaidon Salter took over after halftime. With B.C. already securing a home playoff game, the Lions rested their starting quarterback in the second half.
Calgary took advantage, shutting out the Lions after the break and scoring 19 unanswered points to pull away.
The loss drops B.C. to third in this week's rankings, although the Lions remain in a strong position heading into the playoffs.
4. Toronto Argonauts (9-8) — LW: 4
Toronto stays fourth after one of the season's wildest finishes.
The Argonauts appeared to have Ottawa beaten, taking a late lead on an Isaiah Smith rushing touchdown with just 30 seconds remaining.
But the Redblacks weren't finished.
Bryson Barnes led Ottawa downfield in the final seconds, connecting with Ayden Eberhardt for the game-winning touchdown and giving the Redblacks a stunning 40-39 win.
Barnes completed 27 of 37 passes for 339 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start, adding 62 rushing yards.
Toronto also dealt with the loss of starting quarterback Chad Kelly to a lower-body injury. Nick Arbuckle stepped in and threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns.
The Argos remain fourth, but the late collapse will sting as they prepare for the playoffs.
5. Calgary Stampeders (9-9) — LW: 6
Calgary is making its move at the right time.
The Stampeders jumped to fifth after a convincing 32-13 win over B.C. that kept their playoff hopes alive.
Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 324 yards and a touchdown, while Quincy Vaughn scored twice on the ground.
The Calgary defence shut out the Lions in the second half, capitalizing on B.C.'s decision to rest Rourke after halftime.
Deonta McMahon also delivered a key performance, rushing for 105 yards on just nine carries and helping Calgary pull away in the fourth quarter.
The Stampeders finish the regular season at 9-9 and must wait to see whether that record is enough to earn the West Division's final playoff spot.
Calgary climbs to fifth after an important win at the highest-stakes moment.
6. Saskatchewan Roughriders (9-8) — LW: 7
The Riders are back in the win column — and they're going to the playoffs.
Saskatchewan snapped its four-game losing streak with a dramatic 16-12 victory over Montreal at Mosaic Stadium.
Trevor Harris delivered when it mattered most, finding KeeSean Johnson for a 17-yard touchdown with just 29 seconds remaining.
Harris finished with 251 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception, and a key 22-yard run that helped set up Saskatchewan's first major of the game.
Brett Lauther accounted for the rest of the Riders' scoring with three field goals.
It wasn't an offensive masterpiece, but the Riders got the result they needed. The victory clinched a playoff berth and stopped the slide at a critical point in the season.
Saskatchewan moves up to sixth, giving the team a much-needed boost heading into the postseason.
7. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (8-9) — LW: 5
Winnipeg takes a two-spot tumble after losing to Edmonton.
The Bombers fell 35-27 on Friday night, missing a chance to clinch a playoff berth as the Elks secured the West Division title.
Zach Collaros threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns, but his two interceptions proved costly.
Winnipeg led 21-17 at halftime, but Edmonton took control in the second half. Nick Anderson's late interception helped the Elks seal the victory.
The Bombers also lost the season series to Edmonton, giving the Elks a potentially important tiebreaker.
Winnipeg drops to seventh, and the playoff picture is tightening.
8. Hamilton Tiger-Cats (5-12) — LW: 8
Hamilton remains eighth after another difficult night.
The Tiger-Cats lost 27-12 at home to Edmonton, struggling to generate enough offence against a defence that recorded four sacks and a pick-six.
Harrison Frost completed 21 of 36 passes for 221 yards, but the Ticats couldn't keep pace with the West Division champions.
A fake punt attempt turned disastrous when Zach Mathis intercepted the pass and returned it for a touchdown, giving Edmonton a two-score cushion in the fourth quarter.
Hamilton stays eighth in the rankings.
9. Ottawa Redblacks (1-16) — LW: 9
Ottawa finally has something to celebrate.
After opening the season 0-16 and setting a record for the worst start in CFL history, the Redblacks picked up their first 2026 win with a stunning 40-39 win over Toronto.
Rookie quarterback Bryson Barnes was sensational in his first career start, throwing for 339 yards and two touchdowns while adding 62 yards on the ground.
Former Argonaut Daniel Adeboboye scored twice against his old team, while Ayden Eberhardt caught two touchdown passes, including the game-winner with just six seconds remaining.
It was a remarkable comeback for a team that had endured months of frustration.
Ottawa remains ninth, but the victory gives the Redblacks something positive to build on as the season winds down.
