REGINA, Sask. — Three fire pits have been returned to The Yards following a public appeal, but Regina's Warehouse Business Improvement District says one of its large fire pits is still missing.
Executive director Pam Malach posted an appeal on social media Oct. 22, asking for the district's three missing fire pits to be returned. She said the post has received more than 60,000 views.
At 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, Malach went to check The Yards and was pleased to find three fire pits had been returned.
“I went down to see for myself, and shockingly we have three of the firepits back. I’m a little bit curious — there’s an anomaly that one of the fire pits is actually one that wandered away, quite a long time ago, that we thought we’d never see again. So although we have three back, we’re still missing one of our big ones,” Malach said.
In her social media post, Malach promised there would be no questions asked if the fire pits were returned. She said she was still curious about how someone managed to lift the larger fire pit at all, but wanted to thank whoever brought three of them back.
“Truly I want to say that I’m very thankful that they brought them back — they did the right thing,” Malach said.
