The Warman Wolverines remain at the top of this week's SJHL Power Rankings, but there's plenty of movement behind them as teams continue to battle for position.
Melfort and Nipawin are making their presence felt, while Melville keeps rolling and the Battlefords look to snap a lengthy losing streak.
Warman has bounced back from a slow start to October, putting together a strong run of wins. The Wolverines continue to find ways to get the job done, with young additions Jaggar John and Braden Hordichuk making an impact and Luke Brunen coming up with key saves when needed.
The Melfort Mustangs jump to second after picking up their 10th win of the season Wednesday against Battlefords.
Nipawin moves into third after extending its point streak to seven games with a shootout win over Humboldt on Tuesday.
Humboldt drops to fourth, with the Melville Millionaires rounding out the top five. The Mils are riding a five-game point streak and have found ways to grind out results, even when the offence hasn't been firing on all cylinders. Strong goaltending from Noah Kraus and Kaleb Page has been a big part of their success.
Flin Flon sits sixth, followed by Weyburn in seventh. Yorkton moves up to eighth, while Kindersley and Estevan round out the top 10.
La Ronge remains 11th, with Battlefords in 12th. The North Stars have now dropped nine straight games following Wednesday's loss to Melfort and will be looking to turn things around before the gap gets any wider.
