REGINA — Average retail gasoline prices in Regina have risen 7.3 c/L in the past week, averaging 132.15 c/L Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 82 gas outlets in Regina.
This compares with the national average that has increased 2.5 c/L in the last week to 134.11 c/L, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
“The national average price of gasoline in Canada has climbed to its highest level since last November, driven primarily by seasonal tightening and broader market dynamics,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “Looking ahead, markets will now begin reacting to this weekend’s U.S.–Iran attacks, which have elevated geopolitical risk premiums even in the absence of immediate supply disruption. Oil prices have firmed as traders assess the potential for further escalation, and while fundamentals such as inventories and refinery activity remain important anchors, the risk of broader instability—particularly involving key transit routes—has injected fresh uncertainty into energy markets. In the week ahead, gasoline prices are likely to face continued upward pressure as seasonal maintenance progresses and markets navigate this evolving geopolitical landscape.”
Including the change in gas prices in Regina during the past week, prices yesterday were 21.0 c/L lower than the same day one year ago and are 14.1 c/L higher than a month ago. The national average has increased 6.6 c/L during the last month and stands 17.6 c/L lower than this day one year ago.
According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on March 2 in Regina have ranged widely over the last five years:
153.17 c/L in 2025, 147.42 c/L in 2024, 146.06 c/L in 2023, 151.57 c/L in 2022 and 115.00 c/L in 2021.
