SASKATOON — An 18-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges after a brief evade police incident early Saturday morning.
Saskatoon Police Service say an officer on patrol attempted a traffic stop around 1:30 on Feb. 28 near Broadway Avenue and Bute Street. When the officer activated emergency lights, the driver of the vehicle refused to stop and accelerated away.
The driver travelled a short distance before colliding with a sound wall at Kelvin Avenue and Cascade Street. Police say the man got out of the vehicle and followed commands. He was arrested without further incident.
The Saskatoon man is charged with dangerous driving and evading police.
