SASKATOON — A 30-year-old man is facing charges after police responded to a break and enter in progress at a secured downtown construction site Friday evening.
Police were called to the 300 block of 2nd Avenue North around 7 p.m. on March 6 after surveillance video showed a male entering the fenced site and believed to be inside. A canine unit was brought in to assist with the search.
Officers found the suspect hiding on the property. He was treated at the scene for injuries consistent with a dog bite before being taken to the Saskatoon police cells.
He was charged with break and enter and breaching court-imposed conditions. Police also executed a search warrant at the time of his arrest.
