REGINA — A well-known Regina Italian restaurant isn’t making a return.
Luiggi's Pasta House, which first opened in 1984, closed down in 2024 after a gas leak caused an explosion at the establishment.
Regina Fire & Protective Services (RFPS) later confirmed the gas leak was accidental, but questions remained on whether Luiggi's Pasta House would return.
Recently, construction has begun at 470 Albert St N, confirmed by the property owners, Norad Enterprises Ltd.
However, Adam Niesner, secretary, treasurer and managing director of Norad Enterprises Ltd., said Luiggi's Pasta House wouldn’t be reopening in the space.
SaskToday reached out to Greg Quarrie, part-owner of Luiggi's Pasta House, who had no information to provide on any re-opening plans.
