ALBERTA — Cold Lake RCMP are asking the public to help locate a Fort McMurray man wanted in connection with a violent incident and warn public he may be armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach, call 911.
Police say they received a report of crimes against a person on Feb. 23. Despite ongoing efforts, police have been unable to locate 34-year-old Joey Jack Joseph Botelho. Alberta RCMP have obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of criminal harassment, harassing communication, and assault. RCMP believe he is actively evading police.
Botelho is about 5-foot-8 and 265 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes, and wears eyeglasses. He has a full beard that is brown in colour. He has multiple tattoos including a 1967 Shelby Mustang on his left arm, a banner/scroll Joel 03.12.10 on his left forearm, and an arm band with seven skulls and bones on upper right arm.
In Alberta, Botelho is known to frequent, Cold Lake, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, and Fort McMurray. He is also known to frequent places in Saskatchewan, including but not limited to Kindersley, Kerrobert, Rouleau, Kipling, Melville, and Esterhazy.
Botelho may be driving a 2007 Red Dodge Ram 1500 with Alberta Licence Plate CXH 1054.
