ESTEVAN — Charges have been stayed against a member of the Estevan RCMP Detachment.
Const. Kristopher McMahon had been charged with one count each of theft under $5,000, and for break and enter to a place and committing an indictable offence, stemming from an incident that occurred last year, in Estevan.
McMahon had seven years of service at the time of the incident.
In an email to SaskToday, the Saskatchewan RCMP said as a result of the stay of proceedings, McMahon is no longer suspended with pay and has returned to active duty.
McMahon made his first court appearance Jan. 19 and the charges were stayed in February, before his next scheduled court appearance on March 2.
