SASKATOON — A 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy are facing multiple charges after bear spray was used during a fight involving several youths inside a business on Confederation Drive Wednesday evening.
At around 7:15 p.m. on March 19, police were called to a business in the 400 block of Confederation Drive for a report of a large group of youth fighting and discharging bear spray. When officers arrived, they were directed towards three youths who had fled the scene. Two of the youth were arrested and found to be in possession of canisters of bear spray. One was also in possession of an imitation firearm.
As a result, a 12-year-old female was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon. A 14-year-old male was charged with mischief over $5,000, and two counts each of possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon.
