REGINA — The Saskatchewan RCMP says it is actively trying to locate and arrest 27-year-old Francis Desjarlais.
According to a post on the Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers’ Facebook page, Desjarlais has warrants for his arrest from Coronach, Weyburn and Melville RCMP. Charges include theft under $5,000, fraud, break and enter, trespassing, and theft, forgery and misuse of a credit card.
He is facing more than a dozen charges stemming from a string of break-ins in Midale last summer. A co-accused in the incidents, Gerald Edward Keenatch, has pleaded guilty to his role.
Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers states the Regina Police Service conducted address checks on behalf of the Coronach and Melville RCMP in an effort to execute outstanding warrants but were unable to locate Desjarlais.
Anyone with information on Desjarlais’ whereabouts is asked to contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips are anonymous; if information leads to an arrest or charge, the caller might be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
