REGINA – Fentanyl and a prohibited firearm were seized by Saskatchewan RCMP’s SERT during a drug trafficking investigation.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team (SERT) – with the assistance of White Butte RCMP – arrested a male after illicit drugs and a prohibited firearm were seized at a residential property in Regina.
On March 9, Saskatchewan RCMP’s SERT and White Butte RCMP obtained and executed a search warrant at a residential property on Gordon Road in Regina.
During a search of the residence and a vehicle, officers located and seized approximately 182 grams of cocaine, 520 grams of fentanyl, 748 grams of methamphetamine, a prohibited firearm, a prohibited firearm magazine, ammunition, a sum of cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. A man was arrested at the residence.
A 21-year-old man, from Regina, is charged with:
- one count, trafficking – methamphetamine;
- one count, trafficking – fentanyl;
- one count, trafficking – cocaine;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine;
- one count, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000;
- one count, unsafe storage of a prohibited firearm;
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- one count, possession of a prohibited firearm;
- one count, possession of a prohibited weapon with ammunition without licence/registration; and
- one count, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon.
The accused appeared in Regina Provincial Court on March 23.
