SASKATCHEWAN — Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for much of southern and central Saskatchewan.
"A late-season snowfall continues to impact portions of southern Saskatchewan and southwest Manitoba, beginning mid-Sunday evening [March 29) over western areas, and spreading eastward through Sunday night," the advisory states.
Environment Canada says five to 10 centimetres of snow is generally expected over most areas, however a heavier band of 10-15 centimetres is expected through Moose Jaw, Regina and southeastward through Moosomin into southwestern Manitoba. The snow will continue through March 30 before tapering off early Mearch 31.

The cities of Regina and Moose Jaw were initially included in the statement, as were communities within more than 100 RMs. Saskatoon and more RMs were added March 30.
