MEET THE MEMBER
Good day, I am Cst. Derrick Brown, a new member of the RCMP. My family and I are originally from rural Ontario, and I am excited to be joining the Cut Knife detachment. I am looking forward to getting to know the people in this close-knit community and learning about the traditions and history of this area. Whether you’re from in town, the farming community or the First Nations, I’m here to help and get involved within the community, so please introduce yourself and say hello. I look forward to getting myself and my family involved in the many upcoming summer events.
RED SERGE TIP
As we hop closer to Easter, police would like to remind the public that the Easter Bunny should be the only one sneaking around your yard. Unfortunately, this time of year can also bring an increase in vehicle break-ins and petty thefts. Before heading out for egg hunts, take a moment to lock your doors and keep an eye out for suspicious activity- because the only thing that should be disappearing this weekend is your chocolate.
Cut Knife RCMP also wants to remind community members of an increase in phone scams/ frauds in the area. If something seems a little too "egg-stra" please report it. Just a reminder that the CRA is not going to call you requesting a basket of gift cards as a form of payment.
