SASKATOON — Police are investigating following an attempted robbery in which bear spray was discharged Tuesday night.
At around 11:45 p.m. on March 31, police responded to the area of Avenue W South and 20th Street West. Through investigation, officers learned that a man had been walking home after purchasing alcohol from a nearby business when he was approached by an unknown man who attempted to rob him by discharging bear spray at him. The victim struck the suspect in the face, and the suspect fled, says the Saskatoon Police Service.
