WILKIE — The Wilkie RCMP responded to the following calls during the week of March 24 to 30.
RCMP received a report of an open residence door. Members received a second report that the door had been closed.
Police received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.
Members received a report of a lost wallet.
CN Police reported a vehicle damaging a railway crossing arm near Reford. Reported for information purposes.
RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.
Members spoke to an individual regarding a custody agreement.
Police received a complaint of a stolen vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
A 70-year-old man from Wilkie and a 26-year-old woman from North Battleford were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking – Schedule I: methamphetamine, following an investigation.
There were also two traffic complaints and one false 911 call.
WILKIE COPP
Wilkie Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP) members conducted 443 hours of patrols during 2025. During that time, while patrolling the community of Wilkie and area, they covered 3,463 kms over 69 patrols. To date so far this year, COPP members have conducted nine patrols, covering 535 kms in 29.35 hours, throughout January. Six patrols were conducted in February with 317 kms travelled in 18.25 hours, and in March, members covered 569 kms in 10 patrols for 33.75 hours.
