The City of Regina is reminding students in the city to apply for the Henry Baker Scholarship if they haven’t already. All applicants of the scholarship must live in Regina and attend a post-secondary educational institute in the city. This includes the University of Regina, First Nations University of Canada, Sask Polytechnic Wascana Campus, Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research (Regina Campus), SIIT, or other vocational schools within the city.
The Henry Baker Scholarship is awarded to students who excel in their studies, whether that be graduating high school students or those already in post-secondary education. In addition to academic excellence, the applicants must also show how they are making a difference in their community.
A total of 18 scholarships will be awarded ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 and is intended for students entering post-secondary education in the fall of 2026. Previous winners of the award and full time employees of the City of Regina are ineligible to apply for the scholarship.
The deadline to apply is on May 29th.
