SASKATCHEWAN — A snowstorm caused by a spring Alberta clipper weather system is affecting travel on many Saskatchewan highways.
According to the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline, Highway 3 is closed from Melfort to Tisdale. Also, travel is not recommended on numerous other routes.
Highways in the Saskatoon area are listed as covered with reduced visibility.
Highway 16 is closed due to a motor vehicle collision one kilometre east of Insinger. Motorists are asked to be prepared to stop, Police are at the site,
Meanwhile, Highway 1 at the Belle Plaine overpass between Moose Jaw and Regina is open again. It was closed to due a collision.
A snowfall warning remains in effect for Prince Albert, communities in 84 RMs and several other areas.
A special weather statement is in effect for other areas of the province, including Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw and communities in dozens of RMs.
