WILKIE — The Wilkie RCMP responded to the following calls during the week of April 7 to 13.
RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications. Members spoke to the guardian of the subject of complaint.
A 45-year-old man was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose after members received a complaint of an individual in possession of a weapon at a business.
Police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle near a residence. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.
Members received a complaint of a break and enter at a business, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
A 41-year-old man from Wilkie was charged with operation while prohibited after members received a traffic complaint.
RCMP received a complaint of an individual at a residence in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Members attended, but the complaint was unfounded.
Police received a report of a suspicious individual near a residence. Members attempted to contact the complainant without success.
Members received a report of an individual taking a motor vehicle without consent. Members located the subject of complaint, and the vehicle was returned to the owner. The complainant requested that no further action be taken.
RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was deemed a traffic hazard and was towed.
Police received a report of an attempted break and enter at a residence in Landis, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members received a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle owner moved the vehicle.
RCMP received a report of another abandoned vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a complaint of an individual not complying with an undertaking condition. This matter is still under investigation.
There was also one traffic complaint and one false 911 call.
