SASKATOON — A major crime investigation is underway after a person was found injured in an apartment unit in the Westview neighbourhood late Wednesday evening.
Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) say officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Avenue W North just after 8:30 p.m. on April 15, following a report of an injured person who wasn’t breathing.
Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but the victim, whose identity hasn’t been released yet, was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
SPS say that members of the Major Crime Section and the Forensic Identification Section have been deployed to the apartment and continue to investigate.
“An update will be provided when new information is known,” said SPS in a statement to media Thursday.
