REGINA —A 49-year-old man is facing charges following two assaults, including the assault of a police officer.
Police were called to the 1500 block of 12th Avenue for a report of a disturbance shortly before 2:30 a.m. on April 13. When officers arrived on scene, they located the suspect inside the building. He was uncooperative with police, refusing to identify himself when asked.
Officers also learned the suspect had assaulted a man at that location. The suspect continued to be uncooperative as he was taken into custody and taken to the RPS Detention Unit. While in detention, the suspect spat in the face of one of the police officers.
He made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on April 13.
