PRINCE ALBERT — Wade Chitrena, a former RCMP officer already serving an 18-month sentence for making child pornography and voyeurism involving a child, was sentenced on April 17 to an additional six months in jail for four charges of failing to appear in court.
Judge Thomas Healey, earlier called Chitrena’s conduct “vile, appalling, and absolutely shameful," when sentencing him. On Friday, a separate judge ordered the six months to be served consecutively.
Chitrena had pleaded guilty to the breach charges on April 10, the same day he received the18-month term for child exploitation offences. The breach sentencing was adjourned to April 17.
